    Description

Well, well, what have we here?
Up for bid is this charming vintage planter, featuring a single cornucopia in chartreuse or lime green glaze. The base is unmarked--save for a later marking in ink: 3125--but I believe this piece is from American Bisque (catalogue no. 371). The piece stands about 3-3/8" tall, measuring about 6-3/4" long. It comes to you in excellent vintage condition, with expected age-related wear, such as wear to the dry foot and some long lines of crazing on the interior, but no worrisome damage like chips or fractures. What a great addition to your vintage pottery display!
    The cold, hard truth, aka
    shipping & handling terms:
As projected by eBay's shipping calculator, domestic shipping costs on Priority packages reflect USPS counter price--with First Class parcels being a close estimate of actual price within the fluctuating per-ounce rate--plus {{detail_product_description}}.73 in my handling fees.  International bidders will need to contact me for a shipping quote, which will include a 10% handling fee on postal costs.  This handling fee not only contributes toward the obvious selling expenses of bubble wrap, boxes, printer ink, and tape, but more significantly towards the steep selling fees imposed by both Ebay and Paypal on your total invoice (item + shipping).  Imagine that on even a 99c transaction, I will be charged 90c in seller's fees; the sale of a dollar mug will incur me over in fees--the higher the cost and weight of the item, so too the fees.  Without the buffer of a handling fee, I would not be able to afford to stay in business.   So, if you want this awesome item--and you know you want it!--these are the buyer's terms that you are agreeing to.
I beg you to keep this in mind when leaving feedback about what constitutes "very reasonable" shipping & handling charges--I really am striving to earn your 5-star rating!
Mix it, match it, throw it in your basket!
I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so if you'd like, please take a look at my other auctions.  A handling fee per item still applies (see tedious and preachy explanation above).
