Hello,
You are bidding on a Mid-Century vintage cookie jar adorned with a puppy dog pulling on a shoelace. Very kitch and cute! Made by American Bisque USA.
The background pattern has a quilted look, and the piece was cleverly airbrush painted to give the quilt pattern more depth. The pottery is very smooth and glossy, and the paint is yellow and black. The piece has some crazing and light stains and a hairline crack by the dog;s front feet. It doesn't appear to be a structural issue. Inside the jar lid is chipped in two places, but again, not structural. You can't see see them with the lid on. I have had this and have used it for display in my kitchens for over 30 years. Just downsizing to a smaller place.
