Adjustable from 1:1 to 5:1 Scale
The Pixiss Proportional Divider for artists is an adjustable caliper tool from 1:1 to 5:1 scale for maximum flexibility. Adjusted for any subject size.
Step 1-2
1. Hold the proportional divider at arms length in front of subject matter.
2. Use small end of divider to gauge the height of the desired object
(example: tea cup height).
Steps 3-4
3. Using the larger end of the divider, transfer the height of the tea cup to the drawing surface.
4. To change size of drawing, move the blue tab towards the middle of the divider to reduce the transfer size. Move the blue tab towards the end to enlarge the transfer size.
Steps 5-6
5. Before measuring another section, make sure that the large end
of the divider is set at the size of the tea cup on your drawing surface.
6. Now, using the smaller end of the divider, make it fit the height of the tea cup on your subject matter. Now anything else you decide to measure will be in relation to the height of the tea cup.*
Step 7-9
7. Keeping your hand in the same position, enlarge the smaller
opeingin of the divider to fit another portion of the subject matter.
8. Using the larger end of the divider, transfer the height of your
second object to the drawing surface.
9. Repeat the procedure outlined to find any desired measurement.
