    Description

This is a set of(2pc) heavy duty hinges for exhaust fan. It allows easy opening of your fan for cleaning and maintenance.  It is made of 10 gauge galvanized steel, which is strong and weather proof.  It can support the biggest mushroom exhaust fan up to 36″ wheel and 44×44 base.
The hinge is designed to stop at an angle so additional chain is not needed.
    Description:
Includes left & right plates for fan curbs and screws .
    General Instruction* :
Get metal screws and a drill.  Screws are included.
Line up hinges with existing fan curb and fan base.  The triangle side (with the stop) on the curb.  The L-side the on fan base.
Make sure 2 hinges are positioned on adjacent angles, so that both hinges open the same direction.
Mark holes on the fan curb and fan base.  Drill out small holes if not using self tapping screws.
Install screws and check for alignment.
Test installation by slowly flipping the fan on its hinges.  Be slow and observe that the stop on hinge is working.  Do not flip more than 45 degree during the test, even with the stop in place.
*These are general instruction!  Actual installation may vary slightly as your fan curb and fan base may differ too much in size.  When fan is stationary on the curb, the difference in size is negligible, but with hinges this difference matters.  Depending on how your curb was made, you may not be able to install the hinge.  E.g. your curb is simply too short(not legal in some places).  Or the top brim of your fan curb is too short to mount anything, i.e. you have a transitional curb that was built too short.  Minimal mounting surface needs to be 10 inches high, otherwise the mount is unsafe as there aren’t enough screws to support the weight of your fan.  In such cases seek professional help, because you may need additional hardware, such as curb extension.
