    Description

    Gorham Rose Scroll Creamer Sugar Bowl Sterling Silver 1899 Mono
    Gorham sterling silver set of a creamer and sugar bowl, decorated with repousse roses and scrolls all around the body as well as beaded top rim. Hollow scroll handles feature figural foliate elements. Both pieces have gilt interior and engraved monogram "K" on the front. Creamer is marked A297, "1/4 Pint", date mark for 1898; sugar bowl - A296, date mark for 1899.
    This charming set measures: sugar bowl is 3 1/4" in diameter, 5 3/4" from handle to handle and 2 1/2" tall; creamer is 2 1/2" in diameter, 4 1/2" from spout to handle and 2 1/2" tall. Total weight is 238.5 grams or 7.69 ozs Troy.
    The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
    The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
