They are monogrammed on the side with the initials BA and a date on the bottom of MAY 15TH, 1900, otherwise, they show typical light wear from use and storage, including marks, scratches, and the creamer does have 3 light dents in the front. They have been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and they have nice shine, are very clean, and are table ready. They are straight, not bent out of shape, with no major issues at all.
They are very nicely done in a hand etched, wreath and floral motif that is very attractive. Both are hallmarked on the bottom STERLING A5525 (1/4 PINT on creamer)
and the 3 character lion, anchor and G hallmark for Gorham Silver, USA. They are also hallmarked SHREVE, CRUMP, & LOW CO., which was the retail store these were originally sold through.
This is a beautiful set if you happen to collect fine Gorham brand silver or interesting sugar bowl and creamer sets! Would be wonderful to display in your collection, while being a great silver investment at the same time! Great as a functional set on your dinner table or a display piece, especially if you happen to own a Victorian era home, too!
DON'T MISS OUT!
Would make a great gift idea for that special someone you know, too!
