    1949 SAALFIELD CO. "MARCELLA-A STANDING DOLL WITH NATURAL LOOKING HAIR" CLOTHING IS UNCUT
    This is JUST ONE OF MANY BOXED SETS OF PAPER DOLLS FOUND IN MY late sister's collections.
    This is SAALFIELD'S "MARCELLA" PAPER DOLL BOXED set that dates to 1949.  Marcella is a 10 1/4-inch tall doll that is missing her stand.  The doll has natural looking blonde hair with Costumes that have NOT BEEN CUT OUT.  This set was published by the Saalfield Publishing Company.  The box includes the information and directions for placing the 'Magic Tabs' on the doll.  The 'tabs' are already in place on the dolls' back of her shoulders.  The tabs were to remain sticky so when the clothing was put on the doll, these sticky tabs would hold the clothing in place.  Over the years, these tabs are no longer sticky.  The costumes for the doll have not been cut out and there is 1 costume that is missing from the set.
