1945 DOT AND PEG PRODUCTIONS "WEDDING BELLES" SET IS COMPLETE
I have been working on liquidating my late sisters collections and many of you who
have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!!

SEARCHING THROUGH ALL OF HER INTERESTING FINDS! This
paper doll BOXED SET HAS 2 PAPER DOLLS CAN BE USED FOR DOZENS OF COSTUMES TO MAKE FROM BRIDE AND BRIDESMAID.  This set was made by the DOT AND PEG PRODUCTIONS COMPANY of Chattanooga, Tenn.  Two sisters, Dorothy Hedges and Margaret Lamb founded their company in 1941.  Dot designed the first handmade paper dolls for her two young daughters who enjoyed playing with the dolls.  Dot then talked her sister Peg into starting the company to make Paper Dolls for other children as well.  Each of the paper dolls have a folding base and attachable stand to allow the dolls to stand on their own.  This set is very close to being 'like new' but has had one of the patterns for the Wedding Dress cut from the pattern sheet.  There is also  a partially cut out Wedding Dress piece cut out on a white paper.  Included in the set is 1 red feather and small pieces of colorful accent pieces that can be used also.  There is still a small piece of netting in the box too, that the veil for the Bride could be made.  There is also 8 SHEETS of ACCENTS for the costumes that have a gummed backing and will stick to the other colored paper that is included when the gummed back is moistened.  The colorful pages of paper can made clothing for both of the dolls, not just Bridal Outfits but Everyday Clothing and even Clothes for the Honeymoon.  Both dolls are in great condition and are 10 3/4 inches tall.  Both dolls have their enclosed cardboard back stand.  The title for this set is "WEDDING BELLES", notice the way 'Belles' is spelled and it just may make these ladies look more like Southern Belle Bride and Bridesmaid.  The set is in the Original box with the lid having 2 tears on one of the end flaps of the lid and one on the other end flap.  There is 1 split corner of the lid as well.  What a great addition if you like this set, please check out a similar set of a Dot and Peg Production item that I also currently have listed.  This set too was designed by Dorothy Hedges who is DOT of the company.
