have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!!
    I HAVE FUN
SEARCHING THROUGH ALL OF HER INTERESTING FINDS! This
paper doll BOXED SET HAS 2 PAPER DOLLS THAT ARE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER, PEGGY AND HER MOTHER.   This set was made by the DOT AND PEG PRODUCTIONS COMPANY of Chattanooga, Tenn.  Two sisters, Dorothy Hedges and Margaret Lamb founded their company in 1941.  Dot designed the first handmade paper dolls for her two young daughters who enjoyed playing with the dolls.  Dot then talked her sister Peg into starting the company to make Paper Dolls for other children as well.  Each of the paper dolls have a folding base and attachable stand to allow the dolls to stand on their own.  The Peggy doll is 8-inches tall while her Mother is a 10 3/4-inch tall doll.  The instructions for the set are printed on the underside of the lid of the box.  There are 12 separate sheets of paper that the clothing for the dolls can be made with and the patterns for their dresses are also included.  There is also embellishments for the dresses from colorful crepe paper ribbon to Lace looking paper strip.  There are also 8 gummed sheets of adornments for the clothing as well that need to be carefully cut out.    This set was designed by Dorothy Hedges who was DOT of the sister team.  The company remained in business until 1962 when the sisters decided it was time to sell the business.  The original box does have some fraying around the edges of the lid.  The base of the box has some separation at one of the end flaps and the bottom of the box.
